Nicole uses her legal expertise and dispute resolution skills to help clients navigate through the difficult changes brought about by divorce. There are many process options to solve family law problems and Collaborative Law is a dispute-resolution model that is client driven, so that both parties have specially trained lawyers to help them settle their case without the threat of litigation. In 2007 Nicole added Collaborative Law to her family law practice and she finds Collaborative Law a good fit for clients who want control over the outcome of their case and who desire a respectful, transparent process to meet the legitimate needs of both parties. As an advocate Nicole is compassionate, pragmatic and creative in guiding clients toward the best possible outcome to complex problems in their unique situations.

A native Portlander, Nicole is proud to live and work in the community where she and her husband grew up and now raise their own family. Nicole received her Philosophy degree from the Portland State University Honors College, and her Juris Doctor Degree from Lewis & Clark Northwestern Law School. In 1995 Nicole began her family law career with Oregon Legal Services where she developed a passion for access to justice, leading to her continued service on committees and boards of organizations addressing the needs of the under represented. Nicole is a member of the Oregon Association of Collaborative Professionals, as well as a founding member of her local practice group, Portland Collaborative Divorce. Nicole's activities outside of work include being a parent to two teenage boys, running, yoga, gardening, cooking, entertaining and spending time with friends and family.
