Patty has practiced family law since 2004. Over the years she has supported hundreds of individuals navigate their family law cases in both Oregon and Washington states. While she can proudly say that her rate of settlement is high, the downside of a litigation practice is the time, energy and expense wasted on preparing a case for trial that settles at the courthouse or is postponed due to limited judicial availability. Watching parents and children forced to share private information in a public setting is discouraging. Patty has witnessed the frustration clients feel when due diligence leads to expensive discovery exchanges that produce little information that is essential to resolving the case issues. Against that backdrop, Patty has embraced collaborative law for it's private, efficient, respectful, transparent and non-combative way of moving families through their transitions.

Through accessible counsel and careful guidance, Patty strives to ensure that clients not only endure, but use these difficult times as a gateway to a positive and peaceful future. Patty's strengths lie in her ability to work closely with clients and in presenting information to them in a way that they are empowered to make informed choices. It is her personal goal to not contribute to existing conflict. She is committed to helping clients design a process that enables them to achieve their individual goals efficiently.

Patty is originally from Laguna Hills, California. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science at the University of San Francisco and later made her way to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark Law School.  She began her Collaborative trainings in 2009 and has continued with advanced and in-depth training in the following years. She is the current president of the Oregon Association of Collaborative Professionals, and has received the distinction of being named a Super Lawyer by SuperLawyers Magazine every year since 2015.
