Kathleen Zumpano, MA, MFT: Kathleen’s passion is helping parents understand their child’s developmental needs and stages so that families can make educated decisions allowing divorce to be a life-altering event, but not a life-defining one. She has dedicated more than two decades to providing therapeutic and consulting services to children and families, specializing in divorce-related issues since 2008, working as a mediator, child specialist, and parent coach.

With a diverse professional background in therapeutic and consulting services, Kathleen brings a wealth of experience to her current focus on assisting families in transition. Having retired form her role as a therapist in 2016, she now supports families navigating divorce and its complexities, with a focus on education. This includes presenting at workshops and conferences on a variety of topics. Notable engagements include Lewis & Clark Law School, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Oregon State Bar Family Law Conference. 

Kathleen’s commitment to improving outcomes for families extends to her involvement in professional associations, presentations, and publications. She currently serves on the Oregon Statewide Family Law Advisory Committee’s subgroup on Parent Involvement and Outreach, helping to shape guidelines for family law professionals and the public on various topics. Additionally, Kathleen is a contributing author to respected publications, including a chapter on Child Specialists in the ABA-published Mosten and Cordover’s “Building a Successful Collaborative Law Practice” and AFCC’s “Family Court Review” where she co-authored a commentary on interdisciplinary team work in family law.
